Get ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime in the breathtaking Galápagos Islands!  The Galápagos Islands are a playground for nature lovers, and we’re about to dive right into the action!

This extraordinary destination promises jaw-dropping landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and pristine white powdery beaches with crystal blue waters. 

Brace yourself for an unforgettable journey as we dive into a jam-packed itinerary designed to ensure you experience the very best of these captivating islands!

Accommodation

All rooms on all trips are shared, with 2 people in each room. We will partner you with an adventure buddy – an amazing way to make new friends! You’ll be moved around to pair up with a new friend every couple of nights.

All rooms will be twin sharing, private rooms. 

Itinerary

Day 1: San Cristobal

Day 1 is arrival day. The flights land around 11.30 am into San Cristobal, and a transfer will await the group. Don’t be surprised if it’s a pickup truck…welcome to island life in the Pacific! 

We’ll drop our bags at our hotel, then take a stroll to the promenade to say hello to the friendly sea lions before having lunch.

After lunch we’ll visit the Galápagos Interpretation Centre to learn about the history of these mysterious islands, then walk on to two of the islands most beautiful beaches. You can swim with turtles and sea lions, go snorkelling, or relax on the powdery white sand. If you’re up for it, there’s a 1-hour hike to a famous viewpoint and a more secluded beach with more sea lions than humans! 

We will have sunset on the pier followed by a group dinner.

Day 2: San Cristobal

Today we’ll be doing a full-day trip to see some of the Galápagos Islands’ best beaches, sea cliffs and snorkelling spots. You’ll be given snacks and lunch on board as well as snorkelling equipment and a life vest if required! 

The trip leaves at 7.30 am and we’ll be back in port by about 5 pm. Stops include Kicker Rock where you can see sharks and turtles, beaches famous for their playful sea lions, turtles and sardines and snorkelling spots where you can sometimes see Black too sharks, HammerHead Sharks and Stingrays! 

We will return to port and frehave e time to watch the sunset and grab dinner and drinks.

Day 3: Isabela Island

Today we’ll travel to Isabela Island, the quietest of the 3 Galápagos Islands, with the least human inhabitants but the most wildlife. It has the largest population of marine iguanas and is also the only place in the Galápagos Islands where you can see the very famous Galápagos penguins. 

Spend the afternoon on the beach or exploring by bicycle, drinks at a friendly beach bar and dinner at your leisure. 

Isabela Island is very chill – you can relax on the beach, you can rent a bike and cycle around the island’s coastline where you can check out the marine iguanas and of course giant tortoises in the wild…just strolling right by you as you walk!

Day 4: Isabela Island

Today we’ll be doing another full-day boat tour to check out some of the best sites, snorkelling spots and sea birds on Isla Isabela and of course, a trip to see the Galápagos penguins! 

Snorkelling gear will be provided and snacks and lunch served on board!

Day 5: Isabela Island

Today we will be joining a local Galápagos guide who will bring us to a famous volcano on Isabela Island. The hike is about five or six hours round trip so you can choose whether you want to join or not, but I’m sure you won’t want to miss out! 

If you decide not to join, you can just chill on the beach with the marine iguanas and the sea lions or grab a beer at the cute, backpacker friendly cafes and bars.  

 

Then have a chill evening and dinner at your leisure.

Day 6: Santa Cruz

We’ll be up bright and early to take the 7 am ferry from Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island, which takes about 2 hours. 

On arrival in Santa Cruz, we will drop our bags at the hotel, grab a quick breakfast and make our way up to the highlands to see the very famous Galapagos giant tortoises in their natural habitat. 

In the afternoon, we will head back down towards the port and walk to Tortuga Bay, which is about a 40 minute walk on the boardwalk to get to one of the most beautiful beaches on Santa Cruz. Playa Blanca is great for swimming and surfing and is full of marine iguanas and amazing birdlife.

Day 7: Santa Cruz

In the morning, we’ll visit the Charles Darwin Research Centre to learn about the island’s breeding programme and to see more giant tortoises! 

Then it’s time to pack our bags for an airport transfer depending on your flight departure time from Santa Cruz.

Terms and Conditions 

Your deposit is non refundable. 

For the balance of your payment, I can refund you the full amount (minus your deposit) up to 8 weeks before the trip begins should you have an emergency / illness / need to cancel.

Anything closer than 8 weeks, I cannot refund you. I suggest you take out travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should something happen like you get Covid, you will get a full payout from your insurance company.
