This is the full itinerary for my 2024 group adventure trip to the Maldives.

How to applyIf accepted, you will receive an email and have 7 days to pay the 500 euro deposit. The balance will be due 8 weeks before the trip start date. Payment in installments is an option if you desire
Day 1 - Arrival
Welcome to paradise! Today you will be picked up from Male International airport by a speedboat and taken to Maafushi Island. Afternoon exploring the island, relaxing on the beach and of course enjoying the sunset!
We’ll have a group welcome dinner at the beautiful Moonlight Cafe.
Meals: Group dinner.
Day 2 - Vaavu Explore Trip
We’ll start the day with an exciting dolphin cruise leaving from Maafushi Island. Today will be a full day excursion from 7am – 3pm, and you’ll have the chance to go swimming in the tropical waters of the Maldives, admire Stingrays in the water near Fulidhoo Island and snorkel with nurse sharks – don’t worry they’re safe!
We’ll have lunch on a picture perfect sandbank, take amazing group photos with the drone and back at the hotel for around 3pm.

Day 3 - Jacksparrow Adventure
Another early morning today as we set off at 8am for another full day of adventure with locals. Today we will go snorkelling at the famous Vaavu Shipwreck which is bursting with underwater life including colourful corals and hundreds of different types of tropical fish.
If we’re lucky we’ll also see blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, Moray eels and more. We’ll make it back to the island for sunset.

Day 4 - Half day snorkelling
Today we’ll start our day with a half day boat trip to try spot wild dophins and we’ll continue to two famous snorkelling spots to swim with turtles and in beautiful coral gardens.
We’ll have lunch on a beautiful deserted sand bank before heading bank to the island for a day relaxing on the beach, at the hotel or just exploring by foot.

Day 5 - All Inclusive Hotel
Today we will take a speedboat transfer to a luxury ALL INCLUSIVE hotel to give you an experience of true luxury in the Maldives. Everyone will check into their rooms and then have the freedom to do what they want, eat what they want and DRINK what they want for the rest of the afternoon!

Day 6 - All Inclusive Hotel
Today we will have one full day at the All Inclusive resort. Finally time to fully relax by the pool with a cocktail, lie on a hammock on the beach, go snorkelling or participate in any fun free activities on offer.

Day 7 - Departure
Sadly today is our last day and time to leave our beautiful hotel and the Maldives.
A transfer will be organized to the airport in time for your international flight out of the Maldives.

To note:
These trips will not be led by Janet but by a Janet’s Journeys regular. There will be a local guide and driver, and your trip leader will be there to answer questions, curate the epic playlist, and ensure the group has a ridiculous amount of fun each and every day.
Refund policy:
Your deposit, in theory, is non-refundable. As the tour company requires it to book all the hotels etc. However if I can find someone to take your place, I’ll refund you in full, minus bank charges.
For the balance of your payment, the tour company can refund this up to 6 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency/illness / need to cancel. Anything closer than 6 weeks, and they cannot refund you. However, again, if I can find someone last minute to fill your spot, then yes you get your money back. Case by case basis.
I suggest you take out travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should something awful happen like you get Covid, you will get a full payout from your insurance company.
