Itinerary
Oct 29 - Antananarivo
Welcome to the Madagascar! Upon arrival, a driver will transfer you to the heart of Antananarivo, known as “The City of a Thousand” in reference to the ancient soldiers who once protected it. The city is divided into three distinct areas: the upper, middle, and lower town, each with its own charm. You’ll settle into a boutique hotel near the airport, where you can unwind and soak in the unique atmosphere. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at the hotel’s renowned restaurant, enjoying its signature dishes as we get to know eachother.
Meals included: Welcome dinner
Oct 30 - Morondava
Today, we’re off to Morondava! After a short one-hour flight, we’ll land in this vibrant coastal town around 3pm, known as the “Malagasy Venice.”
From here, we’ll hit the road and drive through the breathtaking Avenue of the Baobabs—one of Madagascar’s most iconic sights. These towering ancient trees are straight out of a dream, and we’ll have plenty of time to take it all in.
The adventure continues as we make our way to Kirindy, a remote forest filled with unique wildlife. This is one of the last places where you might spot the elusive fosa—Madagascar’s top predator, which looks like a mix between a cat and a dog. As night falls, we’ll head out on a guided walk to spot nocturnal lemurs and other creatures before settling into our lodge near the park.
Meals Included: Breakfast and Dinner
Oct 31st - Kirindy Forest
Rise and shine! This morning, we’re heading into Kirindy Forest—home to Madagascar’s only predator, the fosa. If we’re lucky, we might spot one prowling through the trees! The forest is packed with wildlife, including eight species of lemurs, dozens of exotic birds, and all kinds of reptiles. Keep an eye out for the massive gray-trunk and bottle-shaped baobabs towering overhead.
After a morning of wildlife spotting, we’ll have lunch back at the hotel before making our way back to Morondava. Just in time for golden hour, we’ll stop at the famous Avenue of the Baobabs for sunset—trust me, it’s pure magic. The massive trees glowing in the evening light? Absolutely unforgettable.
Nov 1 - Antananarivo
Today we’ll fly back to the capital an hace some time to explore the city.
This afternoon, we’ll take a walking tour through the historic upper town of Antananarivo, exploring its charming streets and rich history. The highlight? A visit to the Queen’s Palace, an iconic landmark with breathtaking views over the city.
Once we settle into our hotel in the late afternoon, get ready for a special evening—an authentic Malagasy cooking class with Farah, a local chef and culinary influencer.
Malagasy cuisine is a beautiful mix of Asian and African influences, and tonight, you’ll learn how to prepare a traditional dish before sitting down to enjoy it for dinner. It’s the perfect way to wrap up our time in this region!

Nov 2nd - Drive to Andasibe
Today, we hit the road for a four-hour drive along Madagascar’s famous National Road No. 2, heading straight into the lush rainforests of Andasibe National Park. The scenery shifts from the rolling highlands to the dense greenery of the east, with plenty to admire along the way—keep an eye out for the iconic traveler’s tree!
After settling into Andasibe, we’ll venture out after dark for a night walk in the VOIMMA Reserve, a locally run conservation area. With a bit of luck, we’ll spot nocturnal lemurs, frogs, and rare birds hiding in the trees. The best part? Half of the entrance fee supports community projects like clean water initiatives and a small hospital. An unforgettable first night in the rainforest!

Get ready for an unforgettable wildlife experience in Andasibe National Park! Today, we’ll be on the lookout for Madagascar’s largest lemur, the Indri Indri. You’ll likely hear their eerie, whale-like calls before you even spot them—these rare creatures can only be found in this part of the island.
